Capture Fast Analog Signals with Very Fast
Repeating Triggers
Now You Can Capture
Imaging, Ultrasound and Radar Signals
With 14 Bit Resolution, 125 MS/s Sample Rate
At Very High Trigger Repeat Frequency.

Capturing data from rapidly occurring
trigger signals has traditionally been very
difficult, as most waveform digitizers slow
down in the amount of data they can collect
as the record length becomes shorter.
This problem becomes severe when the record
length is in the 1024 to 4096 point range.
The reason why digitizers slow down is
that they use single-port memory, which
requires that data acquisition be stopped in
order to offload the record that has been
collected in on-board acquisition memory.
Once the data has been offloaded, the
digitizer must be re-armed to capture the
next record. All this software
overhead takes time and the result is a
slower system.
ATS460, the 14 bit 125 MS/s PCI Digitizer
from AlazarTech, uses optional Dual-Port
Memory, which combined with proprietary
AutoDMA circuitry, allows data acquisition
to continue unabated even as the previous
record is being transferred to host PC
memory using bus-mastering. In other
words, there is no software involvement.
Hence the high data transfer rate.
In fact, you can even collect pre-trigger
data if you need! Try this with the
competition's over-priced alternatives.
Use of modern, FPGA-based technology
allows us to bring all this functionality to
you at a price much lower than you expect.
