New Oscilloscope
Emulation Software for PCI Digitizers
Montreal, Canada (August 7, 2007) - AlazarTech,
a manufacturer of high
performance, low cost PC Based Instruments,
today announced the release of
AlazarDSO, a new, powerful oscilloscope
emulation software for its line of popular
PCI bus waveform digitizers.AlazarDSO is
available for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows
operating systems, including Windows Vista.
Key features of AlazarDSO include: fast
screen updates, dual-port memory support,
single-click setups for most oscilloscope
functions, auto-setup, signal and setup
storage and retrieval, averaging, FFT,
histograms, display persistence control,
measurement cursors, full color palette,
online context-sensitive help, full screen
mode and many others.
A unique feature of AlazarDSO is the
optional Stream to Disk capability,
which uses Dual Port Memory on AlazarTech's
PCI Digitizers to stream hundreds of
gigabytes of gapless data directly to disk.
No other oscilloscope software on the market
boasts this capability.
Users can further expand the capabilities
of AlazarDSO by writing their own Plug-In
DLL. Plug-Ins can be used for enhanced
data analysis, customized control of
AlazarDSO functionality as well as for
controlling devices from other vendors.
A Plug-In Development Kit (PDK) is sold
separately.
"When we started the AlazarDSO project,
we thought we were designing a software
package that will help our OEM customers
evaluate our PCI Digitizer hardware in a
more efficient manner," stated Muneeb Khalid,
President of AlazarTech. "However,
when our Beta-Test customers got a hold of
the software, they fell in love with it and
subsequently helped us add many powerful
features that extend the usefulness of
AlazarDSO beyond OEMs to applications such
as Transient Capture, Data Recording and
even R&D oscilloscope".
Potential customers can try the software
in demonstration mode, even if they do not
have any AlazarTech hardware.
AlazarDSO features a powerful input signal
simulator when run in demonstration mode.
